Probably not much help to existing KC Area churches, but we'll see what's coming next.

It will be interesting to see how that goes. My understanding is that Google is trying to work out the techniques and technology to do fiber cheaper then it's being done now. They're doing that by wiring neighborhoods. They do have a track record of starting with price/performance and developing usable technology from there.

It is interesting, they've even adopted a Gamification of the process - Each targeted neighborhood must pre-register ($10) a certain percentage of their neighborhood by September 9 otherwise they will not get it .... One interesting thing on the Google TV side is that they are including A Nexus 7 Tablet as the remote.

Interesting note, it appears the Church owns a bunch of land (acquired from CoC recently) that is included in the initial rollout.
