In my stake I've been asked to head up the team that is installing Internet services in all of our buildings. Our plan is hardwired drops in areas such as: Bishop & Clerk offices, 3 drops in chapel (pulpit controls, front of rostrum, rear of chapel), cultural hall at stage, RS room, Library, Stake Offices, Satellite cabinet, Family History, Phone Room.
Me and my stake must have taken the easy way out. Most of my buildings were built in the late 60's to mid 70's. We decided to only hard wire the Bishop and the Clerk's offices in the wards. At the stake center we added the Stake Clerk office, Stake President's office and the high council room.
I didn't even think about doing the other rooms. I am personally letting wireless take care of those rooms. We have not had a need to put drops in those other rooms. I know that the new building that we are having built will have all those drops, but in my "old" buildings, we didn't add it.
Even though I don't like wireless, but For the most part wireless will do most everything, like showing video and so forth. Now to use wireless for PVC or webcasting isn't a good thing. I have things setup to use hard wire for those any way.
