access to "leader and Clerk resources"

access to "leader and Clerk resources"

In talking to the auxillary leaders in our ward, it appears they do not have access to "leader resources"...I would think they should be able to see certain reports such as attendance roles, birthday list, new members, members moved in, etc.
I've checked to make sure they are set up as "Standard Callings"...is this something that is in the works, but isn't ready for release yet?

I haven't heard of that being in the works. The access is quite restricted right now -- even financial clerks can't see it. As you said, access to certain parts of the leader resources could make sense for a broader set of people, so I wouldn't be surprised if this is on the long-range road map.
Questions that can benefit the larger community should be asked in a public forum, not a private message.

Hoping this is the right place to do this...I concur with kirt1...certain reports like birthday lists, callings by organization, members without callings are very useful to Priesthood leaders (HP Group Leader, EQ President) and organnization leaders to help assist them in their responsibilities. This is something that should be moved higher up the list of updated on the new lds.org. This is one of the more useful capabilites of the website.

For those of us with access to the "Leader Resources" page, a message pops up with the following information:

This website will continue to develop throughout 2011 and beyond

Examples of features planned for future releases include:
Access for quorum and auxiliary leaders
Remaining MLS reports
Home and Visiting Teaching assignments and reporting
Official Communications from Church headquarters
Leadership Training Library
Mobile tools


Looks like more accesses and reports will be added throughout the year for other leaders.

Stake High Councilors

It would be GREAT if stake high councilors were included in the expanded list of leaders with this access.

I concur .. recently switched callings from Stake Clerk / Stake Computer Specialist to Stake High Council and was quite surprised to find access to all the wonderful online tools suddenly inaccessable. Where is the list as to who has access to what. Can it be updated by Stake Leaders?

for example:

Church Directory of Organizations: cdol/lds.org .. used to be able to look up addresses for other local leaders. Recently asked to send a letter to all stake presidents in local area. Do not have access to that information any more.

Leader and Clerk Resources: lds.org/leader .. used to be able to view unit statistics and member information online. In our stake, we are assigned to specific units for 6 months at a time as High Council members. Getting to know names and positions is still available on lds.org/directory for units in our stake but the HT/VT statistics and other reports are not .. anymore.
