Would it really save that much after paying to ship the manuals to the distribution center? crislapi is paying $5.50/case for shredding. I doubt you could ship it back to Salt Lake for that.cbradford wrote:I wonder if the distribution center would be willing to destroy them. Surely they have a large industrial shredder or shredding service. Just a thought.

It depends on what "mode" your editor is in. If it's in WYSIWYG mode (where it will show bold text as bold instead of [ B ]bold[ /B ]) it won't work.
Have you searched the Help Center? Try doing a Google search and adding "site:churchofjesuschrist.org/help" to the search criteria.

Has anyone seen any specific guidance on what "destroy" means. Do we need to get a commercial shredding service, have a bonfire, or just dispose of in the dumpster?
In Regina, we can take documents to a commercial shredder for a small fee. The company will permit us to watch the process.
A very hot fire for a definite period of time is required to completely burn thick manuals.

We actually stored the handbooks for a few weeks in the stake offices and invited all the financial clerks in the stake to bring their old records by. One of our stake Presidency members loaded everything into a pickup and drove them to a members house in the country where they had a bonfire. We are considering making this an annual event.
