Will Clerk Support and other offices at CHQ be open tomorrow, Veterans Day?

But what about Thanksgiving (obviously not), and the day after Thanksgiving (apparently not)? There have been a couple of posts where clerks indicated that they planned to call Clerk Support today. It looks like they'll be disappointed.CzechRM wrote:We sure will be!
If I could make a couple of suggestions:
- Please fix the recording on the Clerk Support phone line when you are not going to be in the office. Rather than say, "All of our representatives are assisting other callers at this time. Your call is very important to us. Please stay on the line, and your call will be handled in the order it was received," say "Our office is closed for the Thanksgiving holiday. We will resume normal telephone support on Monday, November 30." As it is, you are giving your callers false hope that someone will eventually answer the phone.
- The Clerk and Technology Support Calendar has various US holidays listed. But it's not very helpful. For example, it lists Veterans Day, but Clerk Support was open that day, yet it doesn't list the day after Thanksgiving, and Clerk Support seems to be closed today. We don't need yet another calendar of US Holidays on the Clerk and Technology Support Calendar; what we need there is clear communication as to what days Clerk Support will be closed. So eliminate Veterans Day, add Independence Day (observed), etc. That would be very helpful.
- An MLS message regarding the holiday schedule would be helpful, either one at the beginning of the year, or a reminder before each holiday. It's tough enough for those of us in the US to guess when Support will be open, but it must really blindside our fellow clerks in Canada who were hoping to get some help on the 3rd of July, or the US Thanksgiving Day weekend.
