I need to make some changes in district (stake) positions but when I search for members in MLS it only pulls up High Priests. How do I enter my name as district clerk if I am an elder?

One of the changes made in MLS 3.0.2 was the following (from the Release Notes):

Elders May Serve as Stake Clerk or Stake Executive Secretary. Elders may now be recorded in MLS for the stake callings of stake clerk and stake executive secretary, as allowed by the Church Handbook of Instructions.

I assume the same would be true for Districts. If not, it sounds like an MLS bug.

Stake Clerks are added using the Stake Unit and Leader Change Request (not the normal callings) because they are Tier 1 callings (see Callings in the wiki). I don't know if the same is true in districts.

Is there a drop down box (probably near the top right) to select All or Elders?

There is no longer a drop-down menu in this section. When you click the magnifying glass icon, the pop-up window will show all high priests and elders.

When I click the magnifying glass icon, the pop-up window only shows all high priests. Any other ideas?

This was a bug in the programming, and was fixed with the release of MLS 3.0.2. You should be able to select an Elder from the list for Stake/District Clerk and Executive Secretary.

What version of MLS do you have? As Alan stated, this bug was fixed in 3.0.2. If you're on 3.0.2, what district are you in? I'd be happy to look into this a little further.

I am using 3.0.2. and still it only shows High Priests.
We are in the Okinawa Military District.
Should I try to reinstall?

I just loaded 3.0.3.
