We recently had a reconvened disciplinary council and I'm trying to locate a Stake President and Bishop who served over 28 years ago. I have the name of the stake and ward, and unit numbers from back then, and have looked through CDOL, but no luck.
Is this going to be impossible or are there other tools you've used to find where a leader from long ago is at now?

There may be information in CDOL that goes back that far. You could contact Church headquarters and see what information they can provide.
I'm wondering why you need to contact the old bishop and stake president. You should have gotten sufficient information from Church headquarters before reconvening the disciplinary council.
