I've been asked if there is a Temple Patron Fund and if so what is the proper way to do a donation? Thank You!

Earlier this year, the Perpetual Education Fund and Temple Patron Assistance Fund categories were removed from the online donation form. These categories still remain available for donations processed in wards and branches.

So a member would need to make a donation to the Temple Patron Assistance Fund using the donation slip and envelope system and giving it to a member of the bishopric in their ward.

The Church is encouraging members to donate to other categories instead of the Temple Patron Assistance Fund.

From https://www.ldsphilanthropies.org/temple:
Important message

The generosity of donors has led to sufficient levels of donated funds to the Temple Patron Assistance Fund.

As a result, donors are encouraged to select other categories for their ongoing donations. Because many donate online, the Temple Patron Assistance Fund has been removed from online donation forms. It will remain available for donations processed in wards and branches.
