How do we change a branch to a ward in LCR & MLS

We are having a units changing from the branch status to a ward. How do we go about with the changes in LCR and MLS from branch to ward and changing from branch president to bishop for example.
Please anyone to assist ASAP

Everything should take care of itself at LCR. In MLS under System, you may need to change the name of the unit from branch to ward. A few Send/Receives should take care of everything else after LCR gets updated by Church headquarters.
Once the stake sends to the Church the information that a new bishop has been sustained, ordained (if needed), and set apart, everything will start to change at LCR.

I'm a stake clerk. We converted a branch into a ward today...what are the next steps that I or my stake president need to take?

I'm sure there is some kind of paperwork that's filled with headquarters. Make sure that's done. HQ will do the actual change.

When the stake president reports that the new bishop has been called, sustained, and set apart, CDOL will update and everything else will update at LCR and other church websites.
There is a place in MLS Settings where you can set the name of the unit. You might have to update that from Branch to Ward. I do not think that will update automatically.
