record progress on Pending Setting Apart ordinances

Postby henk.ensing » Sun Jun 25, 2017 1:08 am

Our Bishopric keep a separate system on Google Sheets to record progress on the steps check list for Persons called, the sustained, then set apart.

They record progress on Pending Setting Apart ordinances.
Includes recently released persons.

They need a list of all members called but not sustained yet or set apart yet. They take the list to sacrament meeting to ensure all called persons are sustained and those in prior callings are released and that this all gets into LCR.
Although this is recorded, people can slip through the cracks as I cannot find a way to run a report on the status on these processes.

Prevents:
- Members serving without being set apart

Ensures:
- Clerk records all setting apart ordinances

If you have access to Leader and Clerk Resources on LDS.org: | Organizations | Members with callings:
You will see a list of everyone in your ward or branch who has a calling. The set apart flag is on the right side. You can click the "Set Apart" column and sort, which will show either those who are set apart or not set apart at the top of the list (click to sort one way, then click again to sort in reverse order). You should have the ability to print this list if you desire.

There is no custom report writer on LDS.org but the one in MLS still works. However, as functions are moved from MLS to LDS.org, I have found it has broken many of my custom reports. At one time I could run a MLS report that listed only those who were not showing as set apart, but don't know if it works any longer.
