Missing font for certificates

Can one of you brethren advise me as to what font is used in LCR to create the various certificates. A substitute font is being used and the kerning and overall look of the printed certificate is bad. If I can find out the name of the font, I'll install it on the computer.

Thanks....Dennis

Peeking at the PDF output, it appears to be Georgia.

Thanks for the reply. Did you use a program like Adobe Reader to check the font in the PDF file? I'm not a computer person so some methods are beyond me.

No. I just looked at the file in a text editor and searched for "font".

I gather that you had to get the certificate (file) on screen in order to search for the font. How to I get the certificate on screen without actually filling in the information and doing a preview? I don't do computers, as you can tell, so any guidance you can give me would be appreciated. I looked in my font navigator and I see that the Georgia font is installed. It is not a TT font but is marked with an O and is check marked as installed. It is the only Georgia font that I see in the list. Suggestions??

If you right-click on the file you can choose a program to open the file with. If you have a program like Notepad++ (Windows) or TextEdit (Mac), you can choose to open the file in one of those text editors.

What PDF viewer opens when you double-click the file? If you right-click, do you see other Open With options that are PDF viewers? Maybe your default PDF viewer is having problems with the font, but another PDF viewer might render it correctly?

Square One. How do I get the certificate on my monitor without filling in the data for an ordination. Where are you going in the system to have it pop up on screen? If I can get it on screen then I'll try the right click and see what information it shows.

I can tell you folks are very versed in computer knowledge. I'm not, sad as that may be. My cell phone is a pre-pay Nokia T-Moble and I have never sent a text on it....ever! People see it and call it a dinosaur. Yep, sure is but I am able to call from point A to point B most of the time.

Probably the easiest way is in LCR, choose "Reports" then "Print Certificates". (There is also currently a direct link in the "picture menu" at the bottom left.) You can then use the search box on that page to search for someone who has already been ordained (yourself, for instance) and then choose "View Certificate".
