Members selling items to ward

#1

Post by croasmunj »

We recently re-imbursed a member for a tarp she sold to the young women's organization in our ward. Any experiences or advice on what to look out for? I can't find any guidance in the official policies other than it is up to the Bishop's discretion.

You still need some documentation. There is no commercial receipt so you should have the member write a receipt for the sale and sign it. You may also want to include a note describing the situation. The sale price should, of course, be reasonable.

We ended up getting a home-made (printed) receipt.
