Same Lesson Schedule

It seems one of our priesthood quorums has chosen to rearrange the 3rd hour lesson schedule. I am trying to find where it might say why the adult priesthood and relief society should be on the same schedule. I know it is to allow couples to discuss what they learned that day, i.e. compare notes. I need where that may be documented so I can use when convincing groups to use the same schedule.

Try Handbook 2, 7.8.1 for the elders quorum and high priests group,

On the second and third Sundays, the lesson is taught by a quorum or group leader or instructor. He uses the current Melchizedek Priesthood manual. Lessons are generally taught in the order they are presented in the manual and on the same Sunday they are taught in Relief Society meeting.

and Handbook 2, 9.4.1 for the Relief Society.

On the second and third Sundays, the lesson is taught by a member of the Relief Society presidency or a Relief Society teacher. She uses the current Relief Society manual. Lessons are generally taught in the order they are presented in the manual and on the same Sunday they are taught in elders quorum and high priests group meetings.

This information used to be in the Curriculum Instructions, but I guess they had to bump it up to the actual Handbook.

Correct. The Curriculum Instructions are rather vague now:
