I am not able to edit closed batches to correct errors identified during Tithing Settlement because a batch is open somewhere. A yellow error message appears at the bottom of "View/Update Donations" that reads: "Batches with an *asterisk are open batches, and have not been deposited into the bank yet. You can only have one open batch per currency. To close a batch, select it from the list above and complete the balancing and authorizing steps."
Trouble is I cannot find any batches that are *asterisked. So it locks all batches.
How else can an open batch be identified?

My guess would be if you can't see an asterisked batch (did you look back at previous years?) is that the database is corrupted somehow. If you have looked through all years of batches without finding an asterisked batch and have done a send/receive and the issue is still there, you'll have to call Local Unit Support.
