No, I'm ward clerk. I figured out how to assign them over to EQ from HP. You need go to the EQ home teaching area and assign them there to a companionship. I was trying to do it from the HP view.russellhltn wrote:What is your calling? The problem is that the search results are limited to the HP pool only. How do I even choose a EQ home teacher?

Re: Moving families from HPG to EQ for HT statistics in a branch in a district
I am the HP Group Secretary. We have a new family where the wife is a member and the husband is a non-member. Thus by default they are apparently assigned to the HP Group for Home Teaching. However due to ages of children, etc., we feel that the best fit for home teachers is from the EQ. I have tried everything I can think of reading through the discussion above, and I cannot find a way to assign an EQ home teacher. I have temporarily assigned a HP home teacher to get the family off the unassigned list, but that does not help. When I locate the family and try to select a new HT (from the EQ), the only choices are HP companionships. Is there any way to handle this?

Someone in the elders quorum presidency will need to assign them to a companionship on the elders quorum Companionships screen.tfwaitman wrote:I am the HP Group Secretary. As the HP Group Secretary, you cannot assign any home teachers from the EQ. The EQ Secretary (or other members of the EQ Presidency) can. They will not see this family when they are in the HT side of LCR, but they can bring up the member from the directory and assign their HT from the EQ companionships.

Sorry, I can't see how to do that. I think that when you say the "directory" that you mean the member list? But I don't see how to assign HT's from there. Can you provide a more detailed answer? And thanks in advance for your help.

You can't see how to do it because you don't have permission to do it. If you keep trying to make the change yourself, you'll only be frustrated and confused.tfwaitman wrote:Sorry, I can't see how to do that. As others have mentioned before, all you can do in this situation is to communicate with the Elders Quorum presidency. Only a member of the EQ presidency (or the ward clerk or bishop) can actually make this change.
