Child not showing up on family records

A lady and her three children just moved into our ward. I requested the mothers records but there were only two of her three children that showed up on the church's records and under their mother. I have the name and birthday for the other child but when I enter them in this child is still not showing up on the church's records. The mother said that she did have her baby blessed. How do I go about finding this child's records so I can request them and add the record to the mothers family?

Based on what you've said, I doubt if the record was ever created. If the child was blessed outside of the home ward, that would have contributed to falling though the cracks.

I think you need to create the record. Last I remember, that function wasn't in LCR yet. You'll have to do it in MLS. As long as the child hasn't reached the age of 8 yet, you shouldn't have a problem.
