new leadership rights auto or need edit access table

When new leaders are sustained and added in organizational listing are their rights and privileges also automatically changed?

Does placing a member into their new leadership position automatically provide them the access an tools to make changes to matters in their calling or do we
modify access tables to give privileges to newly called leaders.

Once a member is sustained to a new calling, and is given that standard calling in MLS (or in LCR 3.0, which is currently in beta), they will receive all permissions for that calling to Church websites soon after that. "Soon" generally means within 24 hours, but it can be earlier than that, or sometimes later.

For the most part, there are no access tables for you to modify -- the access tables are configured by Church headquarters according to callings. There are a few exceptions (in particular in the Calendar) where local leaders and clerks can assign permissions by name or by calling.

Just to emphasize: It must be a Standard Position.

Calendar and MLS are two things that might need additional setup. LCR, Directory, Etc is automatic, but might take a day or so.
Have you searched the Help Center? Try doing a Google search and adding "site:churchofjesuschrist.org/help" to the search criteria.

It can be tough to figure out who can access what! See the rights based on callings on the Access Table. You cannot modify these rights locally even if you wanted to.

To find out who can administer functions on the calendar, newsletter, lesson schedules, etc, look to the individual help files for each individual tool.
"A soft answer turneth away wrath" works great on LDSTech forum boards!
