Brand new year trailer download

Does anyone know of a way that we can download a local copy of the new YM/YW "Brand New Year Trailer"? We don't have internet in the building and would like to show the video trailer in our Stake Council. I've tried my usual save WMV streaming tools, but the way that the church is doing re-directs, my tools don't work.

Any help would be appreciated.

I must be missing something. I went to the YW page and did a right click and saved it.

Try that on this link: Link

I received an email suggesting that right clicking on it and saying save as downloads the file. I've tried this. What you actually download is a 4kb sized file which links you back to the streaming.lds.org servers, so in fact, you will not have the file downloaded local, only a pointer.

I'm open to other ideas.

There is a nice program called Streamdown which will handle those redirects just fine. It runs $39, but well worth it...

VLC will stream it, convert it and save it. And its free.

Send me a private message if you want me to sort it for you.

Thats great to hear. I think VLC is brilliant for many things including dealing with streaming done in the H264 format.

Try this URL: http://broadcast.lds.org/video/BrandNew ... __eng_.wmv

You should be able to right click on this URL and choose a save-as.
