Closing a Unit - Procedure list?

Does anyone know of a published resource that outlines the procedures for closing down a unit both from a branch and stake level? Our YSA branch has been consolidated with that of an adjoining stake. I'm the branch's membership clerk, but I'm also a stake clerk and need to know the process for handling everything.

Not something that happens everyday, but I'd like to get a head start on this and not have to wait to talk to SLC in the AM.

Thanks,
CS

Not that I'm aware of.

Some thoughts:

- Secure the check book
- Secure Handbook 1
- Secure Letterhead
- Secure financial paperwork - record destroy date on outside.
- Transfer funds to receiving ward(s)
- Transfer membership records
- Transfer any missionary accounts
- Secure computer. Copy MLS files to stake computer so you can do any tidying up. But make sure you have a login. Wipe hard drive, turn into FM.
- I'd print off donation reports and put them in the hands of the members you can locate.
- Clean out ward closets, divvy up the ward property, like kitchen utensils, manuals, supplies, etc.

There are Help Center articles to help you with this process:
