Gathering Quarterly Report numbers

I'm sure hoping that the new online system will give each organization (secretaries) the availability to fill out their own attendance/HT/VT so the information process will be easier to collect for the main quarterly report. I believe the data will be on a more consistent level. :D Kind of like their own little report.

I'm no longer a ward clerk, but I wouldn't have wanted that myself when I was. I always had each organization give me a list of who they didn't think attended. I would then scan the list and make sure they weren't including anyone who had a calling that precluded their attendance. I found the the auxiliaries and quorums were not always aware of the callings their members had. I had a better idea since I maintained all the callings in MLS. So in my experience the results would be less accurate if they didn't pass it through me.

Also, since all numbers had to go to me I always knew which ones were still needed. I didn't have to keep checking online to see who had submitted them.

Absolutely good points mentioned, I believe probably the issue I have is giving the heads up that the reporting is needed, some are good to report right away and others wait until the last minute to report. That's giving those in charge at least 15 days for submitting information. But absolutely understand how the information can be reported with the wrong counts and being able to edit that count, good info thanks. I wish there was a easier way to collect the data needed. Maybe a training session on how to properly get accurate counts. To me, every number counts. Some might take it for granted, but our Wards depend on it as feedback and figuring budgets and where efforts need to be addressed in these areas.
