Ryan or anyone else,

Why is the Primary org in CDOL listed differently than the other auxiliaries.

When I look at the list of callings I see

Stake RS Presidency
Stake YM Presidency
Stake YW Presidency
Stake P

Why isn't the Primary listed as Stake Primary Presidency ?

I'm going to bump this again, I notice in my mobile app that this is the case as well. why is the primary presidency only listed as primary? Mistake? policy to show that primary isn't important? Limit the Primary Presidency in the pecking order of Women's Auxiliaries? Just curious :)

I'm glad it's the same on mobile apps -- that shows that the data is coming from the same source.

There's clearly some sort of mistake here. Personally, I think the Primary is correct, and all the other auxiliary organizations are incorrect. They are not "Presidency" organizations, so the word "Presidency" should be dropped.

After all, you can add other custom callings to those organizations, and the resulting callings are not part of the presidency. For example, in our stake, we have a stake scouting specialist who is part of the stake Young Men leadership. But he's not in the presidency. So "Stake Young Men" is a more accurate name for the organization.

Besides, I'm in favor of brevity, and on LDS Tools on my smartphone some of the organization names that have "Presidency" in them wrap to a second line. If "Presidency" were removed from all those names, each organization would tidily fit on a single line.

The data does come from the same source.

Although we try to ensure that software follows policy, attempting to determine policy by reverse-engineering beginning at software implementation would not be a wise course of action.

"Primary Presidency" is a phrase found in the handbook, so it's not wrong. But I think aebrown has a valid point that "Presidency" is probably not the best name for an organization that could include people who are not part of the presidency.

The ward level does not include presidency, but it makes much more sense there because it is not limited to a presidency like it is in a stake. The only additional callings we have in those orgs at the stake level are for Girls Camp.

I agree with the reasons that for brevity, line-wrapping, and consistency across stake/ward that we remove Presidency from the stake level Young Men, Young Women, and Relief Society orgs in MLS. I'm confident that no handbook instruction, Doctrine and Covenants Section or some unwritten Revelation held in the vaults of the 1st Presidency would hold that the orgs be labeled in MLS, online directory, and mobile apps with the 'Presidency' rather than just the org name. I'd put good money that it might even make it through correlation the first time.

Actually at the ward level there are the presidencies (they are just nested under the main organization). Currently I think that clerk resources is the only one that shows those at all.

I will point out the inconsistency and see if we can get something changed.
