Young Single Adult Advisors

We are not unable to enter a member into the MLS's standard calling for a Young Single Adult (YSA) Advisor unless they are under 31 years old. MLS gives both the stake and the wards an error message stating that the person is not a valid candidate for the calling. YSA Advisors can be of any age and are often older and married. Has anyone experienced this issue?

If your in a YSA ward this would be due to all ward officers and teachers (except the Bishopric) are to be called from the membership of the ward and anyone over the age of 30 are not considered YSA.

I did not know MLS had been flagged to ensure this happens but I'm glade it is.

Reading Handbook 2 16.3.3 it appears to me that the advisers would have to be married.

However, that section appears under "Young Single Adults in Conventional Stakes and Wards". There is no mention of YSA Advisers under "Young Single Adult Wards". So it's possible it does not apply to YSA wards/stakes.

This issue was resolved with the last MLS update.
