Does anyone on the boards know about this website? I've had a recently called missionary tell me he's supposed to have access to view some information online, but his LDS Account is not authorized yet. I'm sure it just takes a bit of time, but I thought I'd ask around to see if anyone has information about the process... I tried to speak to the missionary department and bounced around about 6-7 times eventually ending at someones voicemail at the mtc.

This is the site that newly called missionaries are supposed to go to for pre-service training. They are asked to watch three video segments that last about 35 minutes each before they report to the MTC.

If the newly called missionary has received the letter from the MTC asking him to go to that site, he should be able to log in to the site using his LDS Account. (He used his LDS Account to submit his missionary application.) The letter giving him the URL and instructions includes a phone number. If he cannot login, and he knows he is using his correct user name and password, I would suggest he call the number in the letter and let them know of the problem.

The last missionary I spoke with was able to log in the day he received the letter from the MTC.

We are grateful for your excitement and enthusiasm as a missionary.

This site is intended to help with technical issues, and if you have a technical question, we will try to assist you.

Have the missionary check with the ward membership clerk, who is the only one able to change his/her status to "full-time missionary". This change must be in place in order to get onto the site. It takes a few days to get through the system, but then access is available. However, the sight is still sometimes hard to access through the usual search engines. Just be patient.

Unless something has changed, there's no way to do that in MLS. It would have to come from some other department - perhaps the missionary department.

The site is based upon the FTMISSIONARY status that is associated to their LDS Account (via MRN) after the missionary's assignment has been made. This status is uploaded to their account about 24 hours after the assignment is made. Sometimes that status does not sync correctly, which may be caused by a missing or incorrect MRN on their LDS Account (at least, that's been my experience). My suggestion would be to have the missionary contact the Global Service Center at 1-855-537-4357 for further assistance. If that gets you no where, please PM me.

For the benefit of others, my understanding is that:

1. All of the information regarding http://missionary.lds.org, and how to log in, is now contained in the missionary's call packet. This includes a PIN number, which is needed to log in for the first time.

2. A missionary's access is in no way connected to MLS and its associated callings (e.g.: "Full-time Missionary").

Please follow the instructions in your packet. A forum post is not the proper procedure.
