We are also in Utah and have received the same instructions to only have sacrament meeting on the 25th and no fast Sunday on the 1st. Several different wards throughout the stake are combining meetings. As far as presiding, both bishoprics are planning on sitting on the stand, but we have a member of the stake presidency in our ward who sits on the stand and presides normally unless he can't attend. In talking to the other clerk and comparing membership and attendance figures it looks like we'd be safe doing a 55% - 45% split of the attendance. Thanks all for the help!

If your sacrament meetings were anything like ours, you'd probably better of saying it's too hard to accurately separate the different wards and not count Dec 25th towards the December averages. <grin>

Our ward had an attendance 33% higher on Christmas than on the other three weeks in December.

Greg... that is probably true for many Mormon saturated area wards and stakes... many of us in the diaspora wards and stakes often see a drop by that number.

There will always be a certain percentage of members who are not attending regularly who come out on Christmas, but I suspect it is largely family gatherings that account for it.
