Youth Limited use Temple Recommend scanning by wards?

Just was informed by our executive secretary that temples will be scanning the limited use recommends, and that wards will be the ones responsible for activation when they are given. has anyone else heard about this?

Yes. The temple scans them. The ward needs to print them and the member and bishop need to sign them. There is nothing more that the ward needs to do.
