this is in relation to my earlier post virus. after restoring to an earlier point the virus was gone. updated sophos and ran it and it showed no virus. problem the clerk backed up nov 7, 14, nov 21 was not backed up. computer was restored to a point before nov 7. when you restore backup from nov 14 you get back the 7th and the 14th. when you restore the 28th backup you lose the 7th and 14th. the financial info was sent on the 21st but it would not backup. this is not all the finance clerk said after the cubs install some of the tithing info for members does not show. can the church restore back to that computer the info that was sent to them. the bishop and finance clerk are not sure how to complete tithing settlement without complete records. calling chq's today any help would be appreciated.

Yes, CHQ can send down one of their backups. You've just got to get through to LUS first. Might be quicker to re-enter by hand :)

CUBS tried to link donor records. In most cases, it did ok. However, it failed miserably with a few. In those cases, the easiest to do is verify the donor record is linked to the correct member (finances>view/update donors), that any duplicate donor records are merged to one active record, and that the original donation lists the correct active donor.

You way want to review this post and this one.

CHQ doesn't take a backup every week -- it's more like every month. So it's very likely that you would be missing 1-4 weeks of data. I'd think you're pretty fortunate that you're only missing one. My guess is that you'll just have to reenter that one week's data from the printed reports and donation slips.
