I'm wondering how to configure Sophos to scan flash drives etc. when they are connected.

Yes you can right click in the item and scan but how about automatic scanning regardless?

Also is the version of Sophos a bit stripped down from their regular product?

When you set up a login at Sophos it wants serial numbers that I certainly don't know.

What experiences have others had with this product?

I'll have to poke around, but I'm not sure how much extra security it would give you. I'd expect Sophos to trigger if there was any attempt to run or read an infected file.

You can test this by trying to open a EICAR test file from the thumb drive.
