Let's see. With 4 hours of electricity a day (due to brownouts), it should only take us 3 days to get it. We had better plan on 4 or 5. Re: Windows 10 Upgrade
I wonder what the difference is between doing Windows 10 via the IBM app and letting Windows 7 do it?

Re: Windows 10 Upgrade
Maybe the IBM app will filter out a lot of the additional rubbish normally downloaded with W10. That would be a nice bonus.

Letting it happen through the IBM Endpoint Manager (BigFix) will install the official clerk/church image of the OS.russellhltn wrote:I wonder what the difference is between doing Windows 10 via the IBM app and letting Windows 7 do it?

Just heard from the GSC that the page on the Help Center went up prematurely. It is recommended at this time to wait to update and await further instructions.

Re: Windows 10 Upgrade
One has to debate the purpose of upgrading. Sure, it's nice to have the latest, but if everyone is comfortable with 7, why change? Seems like a invite to more trouble.
Edit: End of security patches for Win7 is January 14, 2020. If the computer is not going to be replaced before then, it would be a good idea to upgrade. So if your computer is 1.5 years old or less, then it probably would be a good idea.
