Our clerk computer is close to five years old (four years ten months).
It is a Dell with a Windows 7 Pro OEM sticker and product key but for whatever reason it has always run XP (I don't know if that is how it was configured, or if that was the preference of the person who installed it or what).
Now that XP is EOL how can I get Win 7 on this machine?
Or should I not bother and hope it gets replaced at the five year mark? (though honestly the hardware still has some life left in it).

The Church put XP on machines for a couple years after Win 7 was out. I would upgrade; call local unit support and they should be able to get you a Win 7 image for that machine.

You didn't say what you calling is. Just as a note, the phone call should be made by the Stake Technology Specialist. He's responsible for the admin and FHC computers in the stake.
