Internet Explorer 7 on Administrative Computers

Since we have begun using internet connections for our administrative computers and therefore can do some browsing I've noticed that the administrative computers with Desktop 5.5 use IE 6 for the browser .I'm a fan of Internet Explorer 7 versus Internet Explorer 6 for many of the improved features like tabbed browsing. Since all updates and patches for these systems must come from Church headquarters I was wondering if and when IE would be updated to version 7.
