Based on recent information our bishop has found out, he wants to place a flag or hold on a membership record just in case this particular individual goes to another ward and has his records transferred there without informing us of this change. I am only aware of the option to flag a record when we transfer it out.

Anyone know if there is a way we can flag or place a hold on this record without transferring it out?

Just did this. The only way to keep the record from leaving is to place a hold on it. This is done through the Membership > records > special request option. You'll need to tell them your need (Hold placed on ____'s records; don't want records pulled out of ward).

With the hold, if the records are requested, you will receive a notice w/ the requesting ward's bishop's info. The bishop's should talk and then your bishop should call CHQ and inform them if the records should be transferred. If nothing is done within 30 days of the request, the records will be sent.
