On the quarterly report, how do you account for visits to unassigned families?

HT doesn't allow you to log a visit for unassigned families?

Nope. That is one of the reasons every family should be assigned a home teacher. Another approach I have seen used is to set up an additional home teaching list under the name of one of the quorum or group leaders, and keep track of visits to those families there. For example, the bishop and I each have more than one set of home teaching families that we keep for various reasons, mostly that it makes life much easier for both of us.

I know we are getting rid of our "No Contact" unassigned list. We are sending letters to those people giving them three options: Welcome back to full fellowship, remain unassigned but you may be contacted (although infrequently), or name removal.

As far as visits to unassigned, I believe one option might be to assign them to a temporary district for the last month of the quarter so the visit can be counted in the month that counts.

Nope again. I goofed, sorry. (It happens).

If you go to the Households tab, you can record visits for any family, whether or not they have assigned home teachers. And since all families belong to either the elders quorum or the high priests group, you would include that visit in those totals.
