I have 2 sisters with previous church records. They have now been adopted and sealed to their new parents. Upon adoption their legal family and given names were changed and new church records were entered by another clerk. There are now duplicate records for each child but the records have different family and given names. I have attempted to merge these records but have received notices that this couldn't be completed. Both children have now been baptized. Upon just completing the annual audit the old records stand out as children not having records of baptism. I need help deleting the old records or merging them with the new ones. The usual merge duplicate records tool doesn't seem to work.
