Out of Unit Member not showing up on LDS Tools App

Out of Unit Member not showing up on LDS Tools App
During the summer my ward received a new bishopric and I have successfully created out of unit memberships for them. As I live in a YSA ward the 1st counselors wife wanted access to the ward directory, so I made her an out of unit member but she can't access anything from my ward on LDS.org or on the LDS Tools app. I thought that I had messed up on something so I deleted her from the out of unit member list and added her once more....still nothing. I was also talking with my High Counsel member and he told me that at one time he had access to the ward directory as well but doesn't any more. What can I do to fix this problem??

How are you making them an out-of-unit member? It used to be you could do that in MLS, but that should have been turned off. You'd have to do it in LCR now.
Have you searched the Help Center? Try doing a Google search and adding "site:churchofjesuschrist.org/help" to the search criteria.

Unless something changed when in the last LCR release, the person has to also have a calling (and possibly a standard calling) before they can access the ward tools on lds.org. Okay she will be getting a calling soon so I will wait until then and see if that fixes my problem. Thanks.

You shouldn't be able to do. Perhaps you haven't been running the patches when prompted when MLS starts up.teudy wrote:I have done it both ways.
I know that was true when out-of-unit members were added to MLS, since the information wasn't transmitted. It was only by giving them a calling that CHQ had any idea what was going on. Note that after creating them, it might take some time for everything to sync up and accesses granted. I'd give it two days before calling it a failure.

This is correct. They need to have an out-of-unit record and a standard calling. The information they will be able to access will be based on the calling.
