I assume a Stake CS Missionary is someone who is called to serve a Church Service mission within the stake. The calling might also be used to help the stake track who is serving a Church Service mission outside the stake.
My wild guess for the CS Missionary Specialist is someone who helps the stake presidency track Church Service missions on the csm.ldschurch.org web site. This assignment is usually given to a high councilor. As a ward clerk, I can login to csm.ldschurch.org and see what CSM positions are filled, unfilled, and projected. I assume my bishop can also see this, and recommend individuals to serve, just as he does with temple workers and volunteers.

Thanks, that definitely helps!

I am a recently retired (released) Assistant Ward Membership clerk. A 'Ward Temple and Family History Consultant Lead' was called yesterday in Sacrament meeting. Our new membership clerk is unable to enter the 'Standard Calling' of 'Ward Temple and Family History Consultant Lead' for this person. He told me he is getting an error message. Can anyone give us a clue as to what might be causing this problem? He mentioned that the error told him to see the Bishop. I haven't a clue to be able to help him. Thank you.

The bishop will need to go in and record the calling. When he goes in to record the calling, he will see a more specific explanation – often it is because a member has an annotation of some sort on their record that needs to be reviewed by the bishop.

Thank you brother. I will pass it on. I suspected that but wasn't sure.
