Assigned missionaries do not need to have an out-of-unit member record created to view their assigned unit Directory. They can see all aspects of the Directory, to include photos, provided their mission office has set things up properly. There is nothing the unit to which they are assigned can do to give assigned missionaries access other that contacting the missionaries mission office.

It is the responsibility of the missionary's mission office to set up and associate missionaries with their assigned unit. This assignment in the system will give them access to their assigned unit's Directory and Calendar. This assignment will be evident when the assigned missionaries appear in the "Assigned Missionaries" sub-section of the "Missionary" section of the Directory.
