Membership Audit Instructions

Is there any way for a stake clerk to see the instructions for performing a membership audit before actually showing up at a ward to perform the audit? It would be nice to be able to be prepared.

Since the stake clerk should have an out-of-unit administrator account in MLS in each unit, he could print a membership audit from any ward MLS computer in the stake.

Or the stake clerk could just read the Help Center article, "Conduct and Submit the Membership Record Audit" here https://www.lds.org/help/support/member ... cord-audit

Thanks for the link.

Option B (ask the ward clerk to let you into his office ahead of time so that you can get the instructions off his computer) doesn't strike me as a very efficient way to disseminate information.

Since I am both stake clerk and STS, I have access to all clerk's office in my stake. The STS is required to have keys to every meetinghouse and clerk's office, and he needs to have an MLS administrator account on every admin computer in the stake.

I'm not sure as that's true anymore. The last part about the MLS password isn't.

But as a Stake Clerk, I believe that's true.

It would have been much more difficult for me to replace all the admin computers if I had not had an administrator account in MLS in every unit in my stake. Since we can only request for a security token reset on weekdays, the timing of backup and restore is more critical.

No doubt. But you stated that the STS is "required" to have certain things, but I don't know as that's supported by the current documents. It was true at one time but it seems to require some interpretation to arrive at that same conclusion now.
