Syncing issue with MLS on Member Transfers

Hi.
Cleaning up membership records and moving out members whom have moved, I am using both MLS and LDS.org to do this.

When I use LDS.org:
I fill out all information correctly (double check it) and transfer the member or household out. I receive a good confirmation message.

Next visit to the clerk's office, I log into MLS and immediately hit the transfer button on the bottom left of the MLS screen. I get my reports and all seems good.

When I use MLS:
I fill out all information correctly and transfer the member/household out. When all transfers are completed, I hit the same transfer button on MLS.

With LDS Tools as a verifier, I open LDS Tools before making the transfer and verify the member/household is on LDS Tools. After the transfer, via either method above, I sync LDS Tools and then check for the member(s). They are gone.

The issue:

Either the member records are being sent back during the week (unlikely???) or the data in the auxiliary features of MLS (home teaching records, visiting teaching records, etc) is not updating and removing the member from these auxiliary reports.

Any ideas? Any issues you are aware of? Am I doing something wrong?

MLS is not directly connected to Church membership databases; it relies on communication with Church servers to send requests and to receive updates. It's possible that some updates of MLS for moveouts only occur when the membership transfer has been processed by CHQ and is then sent back to MLS. That will require at least two Send/Receive transmissions from MLS (one to send the request for the move, and one to receive confirmation of the move), and some amount of processing time between those two transmissions.

It sounds like you're assuming that the first transmission will take care of everything on the MLS side, and I don't think that's correct. Are you letting some time elapse after the sending of the request and the second transmission to receive the confirmation? Or are you even doing the second transmission before you assume that something is wrong with your MLS data?

I do know that you can't record a HT/VT visit in the month that someone moves into the ward. I wonder if there's a latency on the move-out to allow you to record visits. The real question is can you record a visit for them next month (September)?
