I submitted the recommend number for the wife under the name of the husband. I then changed it for the husband and that was recorded. Now when I want to activate the recommend for the wife it states that the number has been taken. How can I correct this without having the bishop issue a new recommend with a new number?

Call the Global Service Desk. Have all of the pertinent information handy for both recommends.
