We have been working on our Lost sheep pile. As part of the steps we've been doing the social media search so we could send these records back to address unknown. Then we actually stumbled across a positive match. They live in a different city a couple of hours away but has the same uniquely spelled name and lists our city as a past residence. Now what do we do? He doesn't list his address or his email. do we friend him and hope he gives us the info? do we send it to address unknown with the new city info, (its a large city)? Where do we take this from here?

At the end of the process, when you do not have an address you send it on to Address Unknown with the information you do have. Your work will assist them in more quickly finding a new location for the member.

The whole point of using social media to find lost sheep is to make contact. So before you send this off to the Address Unknown file, I'd say you follow up on what you found in Facebook. That could mean sending a message via FB, or submitting a friend request. Depending on the attitude of the person you're trying to contact, this may require varying levels of diplomacy, but it's worth a try.
