incorrect "prior ward" information on membership
We have two cases where members have noticed that the "prior ward" information on their membership records are incorrect. They claim they never lived in the ward listed and I personally know that one of the cases was an individual who has lived at his present address since his birth. How can this be corrected?

Re: incorrect "prior ward" information on membership
As far as I know, it's not correctable. It's simply information that's useful in certain situations. It's possible the record got moved for some reason and sent back.
Question: are you showing the members their membership record or the IOS? Handbook 1: 13:6 says you should never show the membership record to the member. But you are free to print the IOS and hand that to them. There are only a few differences. The "Prior ward" field may be one of them.

That is right. The IOS does not show the prior unit and the members should not be shown their full membership record so there should really be no need to 'correct' this information.russellhltn wrote:As far as I know, it's not correctable.
