Canceling Records

Canceling Records

I found a youth with two separate records, each with a different record number. I tried to cancel one of them, per the instructions, but the record is still there. After several attempts, I began to wonder if this is like the "moving out" records procedure where a message informs you that the members records will remain in the ward a short time until the information has been processed. Although I did not see this message on the cancel procedure, I wonder if this is the problem... Any ideas?

I found my own answer and will post it in case anyone else has this situation. After updating the info to SL, I checked the listing again and now the name was gone! So it doesn't immediately disappear from the records. Just like the "move out" function you have to wait for the process to complete in SL.
