The membership record for priesthood brethren contains a line for priesthood ordination. In my ward, most of the "Ordained [office] by" lines contain a name followed by a membership record number; however, a few records have a name but no record number.
One ward member who had a name but no record number on the line recently requested his priesthood line of authority. After the process, I received a new membership record in which the "Ordained elder by" line contained both a name and a record number.
Does anyone know how I can request that the other records missing a record number be updated without having each individual priesthood holder request his line of authority?

I'm not so sure that's a good idea. I image those updates are done based on manual research. If that's true, then asking to have them all updates is likely to interfere with those individuals who are requesting their PLA.
If the powers that be decide they want to have this all fixed, then I'm sure they'll assign someone to do it at a pace suited to the desirability and the resources available.
Try using a Google search by adding "site:tech.lds.org/wiki" to the search criteria.
