Assigning Home Teachers / Visiting Teachers to New Converts

We are instructed to assign home teachers and visiting teachers to new converts by the time they are baptized. Ideally we'd be able to print that out with the home teaching / visiting teaching routes in MLS. Since a month or more can elapse between baptism and the record showing up, any good workarounds?

You can create a Nonmember Record for new converts whenever you want (assuming you have their permission), even before they are baptized. Then you can assign home and visiting teachers. Once the new membership record arrives, you would need to remove the Nonmember record, and add the new membership record back to the assigned home (and possibly visiting) teachers.

Of course, any reporting you did on the HT/VT that was done for the Nonmember record will be lost, but that's the best you can do -- there's no way to create a durable record of visits in MLS until the membership record arrives.
