Donations and Deposits for a Stake

#1

Post by ajames »

I was reading Chapter 14 of Handbook 1, and noticed that it does not address the process of verifying and depositing donations in a stake. It only refers to bishopric members and clerks. Has anyone heard of or seen procedures specifically for a stake, or could this be an instance where we replace the word "bishopric" with "stake presidency" (though those cases are usually noted in footnotes)?

The process will be the same for the Stake or a ward and as you have said you can substitute 'Stake Presidency' for 'Bishopric'. The respective finance audits deal with the donation process in exactly the same way.

See the stake audit checklist item 13, which by the way is the only audit question for the stake regarding deposits.

Thanks guys. For some reason I didn't think of consulting the audit.
