We sent a check to a members landlord to pay their rent, but the landlord returned the check saying it was from a Non-Transaction Account. The last three rent checks we sent cleared, but not this one.

Any ideas?

My guess is that the landlord is trying to process the check electronically, instead of depositing the physical check. See the thread Fast Offering check not clearing because vendor electronically deposits the check? for a detailed discussion of this issue.
