Adding/ deleting individual Ward Missionary Fund accounts

I need to add a ward missionary subcategory account (for donations) for a missionary whose family recently moved into the ward. However, when I click on the hour glass to get to the subcategory, and then the "add" button, I cannot add. There is no parent category and the "add" button is greyed out.

Additioally, we have a return missionary whose name still shows up in the the subcategory.

Your questions are mostly answered in the original MLS message regarding CUBS, which is on the wiki. See the section Subcategories for the answers.

You cannot add a Ward Missionary subcategory. Those categories are controlled by the Church. Shortly after a missionary is assigned to your ward, the missionary's subcategory will automatically appear. So you need to make sure that the missionary is assigned to your ward. This happens automatically for newly called missionaries, but does not happen automatically when the family moves into your ward; you have to follow the procedure in the wiki for Transferring missionary funding to another ward.

You should make sure that the subcategory balance is zero by making appropriate transfers. Then (as mentioned in the Subcategories section of the wiki), the category will automatically disappear after two months of inactivity.
