Missionary equaliztion payments

#1

Post by msteinbaugh »

When does the equaliztion payments start being deducted from a unit's account - when the missionary reports to the MTC or when he is in the field. Also, is the first month prorated? What time during the month do the withdrawls happen (family would like to know so they know when they submit their payments). Thanks

The first payment is deducted on or about the first Thursday of the month when the missionary enters the MTC (even if they enter at the very end of the month). This is usually before the missionary actually starts their mission. The payment is not prorated but there will only be 24 payments total so there will not be a payment for the last partial month of the mission.
