Fast Offerings

Our Stake President has asked each ward to submit to the stake the number of families in each ward that contributed to fast offerings during 2008. He is not interested in names or amounts. This data is to be used in determining future ward and stake boundaries. I am not able to extract this data at the ward or stake level. Has anyone any ideas on how this may be done? Thanks.

This can only be done at the ward level, and even there it's a bit tricky. Use an Income and Expense Detail Report as described in this post.

That solution appears to be doable. Thanks.

I'm wondering if this is "old-school" thinking on the part of the stake president. Back in the days of FIS, one of the demographics required for the Tithing Status Report was the number of families who contributed fast offerings and FIS provided tools that eased the gathering of this information. In my stake, our stake president used to also request this figure thinking that it was a number that was already being calculated and easily obtained. When he found out that this is no longer the case, he dropped the requirement.

I am not certain, but I think it is still needed on some of the older boundary change request forms.
