Donation entered to wrong donor.

Donation entered to wrong donor.

Several months ago, a donation was entered to the wrong donor and is now part of a closed batch. What is the best way to fix this?

It's pretty simple.
  1. In MLS, go to Finance --> View/Update Donations
  2. Open the affected batch by clicking on the date.
  3. Find the donor's name and click on it.
  4. In the "donor slip" screen, change the donor's name to the correct one.
  5. Press Save Donation.
  6. Fill in the reason you are making the change.
  7. Close the batch and print the revised batch report.
